Blake Cordell is a Chicago-based theatre artist with a passion for new work and innovative design. He works most often as a Master Electrician at various storefronts around Chicago though he also has expansive design experience.

He has received a bachelor of arts in theatre design and a bachelor of music in composition from Kansas State University. 

He has worked regionally with noteworthy theaters as well as traveling for new play development projects. He has frequently collaborated with online artists in order to create multimedia scores alongside several performance commissions. His mission statement in playwriting is to "Create works that normalize LGBTQIA+ relationships, giving characters a chance to experience nontraditional conflicts". His playwriting has won him notoriety from the Kennedy Center.
