"Carl and Doug" is an animated short film from Tiny Siren Animation Studios. It premierd on Amazon in 2018 and is now available on Youtube here:

The story follows a teenager who discovers "a mysterious creature from beyond the stars" and teams up with his superhero parents to protect the creature from aliens. The soundtrack endeavored to preserve the comic book/superhero influences and utilized instruments and sounds that evoked mysterious cartoonish science fiction.
